Topic Management

Tattler is used to monitor topics. When we say topics for this application we are referring to an area of interest or a subject you want to monitor. You can use single keywords or phrases to create them. You can also monitor a single topic or multiple topics at once. You can see below that we’re monitoring 4 topics concurrently.

Once you have set up your topics, Tattler brings in various content, which we call mentions, and are located in the center of the application display. As the application gathers mentions, it also performs in-depth semantic analysis. With this we extract source information and trend data that we will show later.

As you can see below, our demo installation is monitoring Health 2.0, Internet of Things, Linked Data, and Semantic Web topics. In the center are the mentions and above them, you’ll also see four tabs—all, news, tweets, and multimedia. These can be used to quickly filter your content by type.
